Christians and LGDists have been warned not to mock the works and presence of God otherwise; they would face the same fate that befell those who mocked the works of God in the days of Noah.

Pastor Emmanuel Irame, Leader and Founder of LGD gave the warning last Sunday, September 15,2024 at the LGD Secretariat during a sermon titled ‘Let God arise’.

The Cleric pointed out that God does not change and just as he punished the disobedient and hypocritical mockers in the days of Noah so he would he mete out punishment in the present days as recorded in the Book of Revelation 16 onward.

“Don’t join the crowd to mock the works of God. All that mocked Noah while he was preparing the ark were destroyed. God has not changed. He used flood in the days of Noah but now he judges each person, kingdom, nation and those who disobey God are punished.

He likened Godly disobedience to employees who violate workplace ethics, rules and regulations stressing those violators do not want the prosperity of the business. He added that just like the workplace, there are also rules and regulations that guide the conduct and behavior of children at home otherwise the parenting role of the head of the home would be called to question, and any child who deliberately fails to obey home rules would be described as prodigal and a rod would be needed to enforce discipline among such disobedient children.

“God has planned that man should have dominion over all his creatures and that plan was hinged on the condition that man would have respect for God who created the whole world. It was obvious that God warned that if he was disrespected he would render man powerless before the creatures and man would lose his dominion and control over all the creatures.

“Satan was privy to the social contract between man and God because he was with God when the plan was made. Satan disobeyed God and God read the same Riot Act on man to Satan too-you have no power of influence over my angels and in my kingdom of heaven anymore; I am sending you down to earth. And the angels shouted, saying woe to the earth. They expressed their concerns for the earth because of the antecedents of Satan who while in heaven contended and disturbed the peace of heaven, so God did not expect Satan to be of any help to the man of the earth.

“If there is a man who contends with you in your church, workplace or organization, you would no longer have peace. The contender would go about accusing and finding fault in all you do. He would also ensure he deprives you the opportunity of fair hearing so that people would not hear your side of the story and believe you. It is the contender, the devil that caused you all the troubles. He would make sure the people do not hear you and since they cannot believe what they did not hear, you would be put in a bad light and tight corner.

“So, Satan had the master plan that as he was going down on earth, he would make the children of God not hear God. He went straight to the two creatures that controlled the world-Adam and Eve, and introduced himself as Satan the Devil who was with God in heaven and in a cunning conversation deceived the couple to eat the forbidden fruit with a bait of having equal knowledge with God. They fell to the bait and disobeyed God and because of disobedience they disconnected themselves from the presence of God.

Quoting Psalm 68: 1-4, Pastor Irame expressed confidence that just as no man could contend with God so the enemy of God would not come to the church and remain there, but they would run away or fly out when they come to the presence of God.

“Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, let them also that hate him flee before him.” He relived the Psalmist and enjoined the congregation to take the devil as an enemy and in as much as Satan the devil was expelled from heaven, so the other enemies of God in human form cannot come to the church of God and be comfortably seated but they will run away and fly out from the presence of God.

“Anybody who plots and fights against the Oracle of God will run and their gang up will be scattered. You who remain faithful are different from the disobedient ones; they scatter and run away because their way is evil.

“When God arises if you run it means you are an enemy of Oracle. Any moment God arises the enemies of the people scatter and they run away. Their race could be better described as recorded in Psalm 68:2 which states :,”As smoke is driven away so drive them away; as wax melted before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.”

Continuing he reassured that enemies who dare to contend with  members of LGD  in any ramification will not be able to resist the power of God in LGDists but the enemies will vanish away like the smoke because when God arises his presence is felt like fire which melts a wax, a fate that befalls enemies of God’s people.

He motivated the congregants to celebrate their victory “and let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God; yea, let them exceedingly rejoice” as they shake their bodies, jump up, dance and “sing unto God, sing praises to his name; extol him that rides upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him. (Psalm 68:3-4)
