Pastor Mrs Lydia Irame, wife of the founder and leader of Love God’s Direction (LGD) has said the doctrine of LGDism predates Christianity in age and practice of obedience to the will of God.

She gave the ranking while presenting a talk on the meaning, context, scope and drive of LGDism during the occasion of the celebration of LGD Women Convention 2024, which held at the church auditorium, Sunday, September 22, 2024.

In a terse and clear accent demonstrating a firm grip of the attention of LGD women that formed her audience, Pastor Mrs Irame marshaled her thoughts, understanding and conviction of the relationship between LGDism and Christianity giving specific reason for the birth and name of the new religion, which according to her had been in practice many years before the birth of Christ.

She said that understanding the meaning of LGDism is so relevant that the founder and leader of LGD, Pastor Emmanuel Irame desires everyone to be so learned. That is why the insight of the doctrines of LGDism is highlighted and preached during the church’s special programme like Children Convention, Youth Convention, Women Convention and even Men Convention.

She described LGDism as a baby of Love God’s Direction (LGD), a doctrine that demands faithful followership of the way of God by simply doing the will of God as spelt out in the Ten Commandments.

“When we say direction, it is a simple instruction to follow the path of God that leads one in his life journey and promises a reward of blessing as every man who fears God and walks in his path is blessed. The desire for the path and will of God is expressed in the Lord’s Prayer which requests that the will of God be done on earth as we LGD members follow the will of God.

“As LGDism women, we do the will of God, we follow the path of righteousness as stipulated in the Ten Commandments recorded in the Book of Exodus 20 saying: Thou shall have no other god beside God, don’t call  the name of God in vain, don’t make any image of anything for the purpose of worshipping them, remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy, honour your father and mother to earn longevity in life, steer clear from killing your fellow men, don’t commit adultery, don’t steal, don’t covet your neighbour’s property, don’t bear false witness against your neighbor.

“At LGD we do the will of God, we follow God’s direction and toe the path of God. As a doctrine, suffixing ‘ism’ to LGD becomes LGDism which compares to the religion of Judaism and hence, LGDism becomes a phenomennom and theory of people who do the will of God.

“It is a practice of loving God’s direction as enunciated by the Oracle of the Most High God, Pastor Emmanuel Irame who gave the name LGDism to the doctrine of loving God’s direction.”

According to her, giving names to concepts, places, objects and people is an old practice and right bequeathed on the authority of man by God.

“Everything in life was given a name by somebody. In Genesis, Adam gave name to all the creatures of God and whatever he called was their names. The name Nigeria was given by Miss Flora Shaw a British journalist who later got married to Lord Lugard. Nigeria according to Miss Shaw means the Niger area. The Nigeria currency was given the name Naira by Obafemi Awolowo. The name Bini was given by Oranmiyan, grandsom of Oduduwa.

“So, everything on earth is given a name by somebody,  and that is why giving the name LGDism by Pastor Emmanuel Irame to a religious belief of a higher level than Christianity is not an oddity. Unlike the name Christianity that was given by pagans in recognition of the people who behaved like Christ; a man of God in the person of the Oracle of the Most High God, Pastor Emmanuel Irame gave the name LGDism.

“If you trace from Genesis to Malachi, there is no record of the word Christianity. Enoch served God and he went to heaven, he was not a Christian. Abraham who God called my friend served God and went to heaven, he was not a Christian. Even Moses and Joseph served God and went to heaven, they were not Christians. So, Christianity will not take you anywhere rather, it is doing the will of God, loving and following God’s direction that will take one to heaven.

“Nigeria Constitution guarantees freedom of religion and at social institutions like a police station and other relevant authorities where you are required to identify your religious belief, rather than taking any option of Islam, Christianity or Paganism, we identify ourselves as LGDism and nobody questions us.

“Jesus Christ separated himself from the practices and doctrines of Judaism to build a new way of serving God which pagans later called Christianity in recognition of people who behaved like Christ. But today, are Christians behaving like Christ? The people you see flocking the church are not the Christians that Jesus Christ died for. Oracle looked at all these and decided to separate himself from the people called Christians in obedience to biblical injunction which describes a sinner as one who knows what is right and refuses to do it.”

She criticized some leaders of the church who for fear of losing members and  fat offerings deviate from preaching the raw gospel of Christ for the salvation of lost souls. “That is why Oracle separated himself from those who identify themselves as the Christian folk and that schism gave birth to LGDism-which identifies people that follow God’s direction, those that walk in the path of righteousness.

“In LGDism, we have mission and vision. Our mission is to transform every living soul to become a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God and our vision is to make heaven. That is what Oracle put together and fearing to lose heaven if he continued on the way of the present day Christianity, obeyed the voice of God which told him that there was need for a new religion that bears marks of the old religion. And if critically evaluated, LGDism is an old religion because the patriarchs and renowned servants of God recorded from the book of Genesis up to First Kings, there is nothing like Christianity but they all followed the will of God, followed God’s direction so much so, even when Moses’ body was contended by Satan, God sent Archangel Michael to rebuke Satan. That was because Moses feared God. This is why Oracle preaches that we should follow God’s direction, follow the path of righteousness, do the will of God. That is why Oracle has asked that as members of LGDism let us separate ourselves from the flock of present day Christianity who no longer follow the will of God and no longer follow  God’s direction.
