Leader and Founder of Love God’s Direction (LGD) Power Ministry, Pastor Emmanuel Irame has charged Christians especially LGD members to make adequate use of rods in the construction of their house building projects with a bid to completing safe and habitable house that is the attraction and comfort of all.

Building on the previous sermon of the Parable of the Rod, the Cleric reiterated the metaphorical meaning of the rod as humans, and the use of the rods as an instrument to build a house which ultimately is the Temple of God.

Recapping, he said the function of the rod in the building of a house is in two forms of righteousness and justice and proceeded to symbolize righteousness with a Measuring line and justice with a Plumb line. These two, he said are the basic instruments that builders use when building a house adding that the effective use of these instruments guarantees a solid and beautiful house that everyone can admire and be proud of.

“I believe that every human being likes a good house. God too loves a good house, not a house that is recklessly built. And therefore, it is pertinent that Christians should build a good house that he would stay; a house of righteousness and justice.

‘That house is your body, that rod is your character, the materials you use to build is your service-which is your attitude. Your behavior and attitude can badly affect your character.”

Pastor Irame said for an individual to have and maintain a good character he needs the wisdom of God and asked God in prayer to let LGD members have the wisdom to exhibit good character informing that such wisdom can only be obtained in acknowledgment and habit of fear of God.

‘If you don’t fear God you lose your character and when you lose your char5acter people run away from you.”

He noted that Christianity is a reflection of the character of Jesus Christ but lamented that lately, Christians have lost the true virtues of the character of Jesus Christ and hence, charged LGDist to raise the banner and continue to exhibit and wave the true virtues of the character of Jesus Christ.

“We have to lift up Jesus Christ higher. To do that you have to be determined to carry out the task”, he said and charged Congregants to dedicate the month of September 2024 to lifting up the banner of Christ.

Harping on the importance of determination in achieving set goals, he noted that the dreams and bright economic ideas of so many people have died because of lack of determination in steadfastly pursuing such dreams.

“That same lack of determination cast fear and doubt in the mind of Joshua’s ability to succeed and perform like his master Moses, thinking of Aaron as a better choice for succession than him until God encouraged him to be courageous and determined to take the task and God’s presence would go with him.

“If you are determined for a task people will follow you. To go to church for a Sunday service and worship is a function of determination and when you are determined for a cause you are empowered to carry on.

‘Without determination you cannot experience the presence of God to change situations for the better. You say God heals, there is healing in the altar, now you are sick but you lack the determination to come to church and embrace the presence of God to grab your healing.
